@SMASChat A3C: JD's that aren't SUPER long. Clear and concise details as to what is required from day-to-day. more importantly, I love JD's that map out the specific goals for the role. It's great to know what I'll be doing, but I want to also know why it matters for that role #SMASChat

@SMASChat A3c: As the applicant, I just look for what the role will have ownership of, who the role collaborates with, what the primary objectives are, and find some initial signs of the culture. Haven't written JD's but too many don't focus on what's in it for the applicant. #SMASChat

@minelcann @SMASChat Community management was my entry point into social. I would say social was still very evergreen back in 2011, and I wasn't sure what role I'd fit in within social. I was always good with numbers (and Excel) and had an opportunity to be an analyst, so I went with it! #SMASChat

@SMASChat Ac3: as the seeker, I look for the main baskets of work: is it copywriting, scheduling, strategy, or content creation heavy? Is it balanced? Cannot speak as a JD writer #smaschat

@SMASChat A3b: 1-2 years is appropriate, in my opinion. Gives time to expect that they’ve done an internship or assistant level job. Job descriptions vary per industry, so sometimes they want too much, but other times, they seem extremely specialized. #smaschat

@SMASChat 3B: I feel like 0-2years experience should be considered entry level. I do believe that some employers ask too much for entry level positions. Some bullet points say they need 3-5 years of experience and a slew of responsibilities. #SMASChat

@SMASChat A3B: Entry should mean you are newly entering the industry & that role. 1-2 years: use the to absorb, learn, trial & error, gain confidence, etc Yes, way too much is poured on & roles are becoming too hybrid. #SMASChat
