There's always light after darkness!
One of the more positive things to come from the arson attack at the Peachaven Mosque was the way the community came together to stand in solidarity.
Whilst I was there, I met a Rabbi from the local synagogue, another amazing Jewish man from South Africa who built community cohesion through football!
The Imam and the Rabbi regularly do interfaith work together.
People from the church came by, and local businesses allowed visitors to use their carparks.
Locals and people from nearby towns came to stand in solidarity.
It's a small Muslim community in a relatively isolated position, which makes them easy targets. But the way the community came together gave me hope.
As I was leaving, a young man, he couldn't have been more than 18, stopped me to ask if I was OK, and offered solidarity. That’s the future!
