Sorry to bother! Just implemented TDE. Another department wants a copy of their db to restore to their SQL server. If I provide backup and certificate, even if the latter exported with different password, they could theoretically restore other database backups couldn't they? So is the better way to unencrypt the DB, take backup, re-encrypt? That seems bad too! A lot of overhead, plus database unencrypted for a period of time, particularly if large. Thanks for your help!
#sqlhelp I've got a weird situation where serverproperty('servername') used to look like 'https://t.co/L6C5sqeM1W' but for some reason, after a restart it now just shows 'servername'. @@servername still shows the full path. Anyone know a way to change serverproperty('servername')

@sqlstudent144 You can only adjust that upon creation. In order to change it you have to nuke the MI and start over IIRC. I do not know of any way to change it after it's been created.

#sqlhelp Has anyone figured out a way to change the time zone setting on an Azure Managed Instance? I know the documentation says it's not possible, I'm just hoping it's wrong or out of date or maybe someone figured out a hack?
@SteveClementJax From my understanding, that trace flag is applicable to SQL Server 2016, 2017, and 2019. SQL 2022 should be functional without the trace flag applied. #sqlhelp
