There will always be many non-PASS events in the data community. They may be considered competitors for scarce "resources" like speakers but it isn't a zero sum game. PASS can grow through collaboration with and the supporting of other groups. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

Have enjoyed nearly all sessions, but pre-recorded speakers are at a bit of a disadvantage due to platform limitations (resizing screen, video stuttering/stopping, etc.). I think all speakers have adapted as well as could be expected. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

I've worked hard to support events around the world and have been able to make wonderful connections because of that. It's that local/regional/personal level where we need to engage and communicate as a board and org. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

Like @jdanton says, we don't know the contract details. There should be a cancellation / agreement end clause. It may be punitive or long but there should be one and as the main vendor, I expect PASS BoD to know how to end the agreement if they deem it necessary. #SQLPASSBODAMA

I haven’t seen the contracts, so I can’t comment. As an aside, those contracts should be a matter of community record with some minor details retracted. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

I think @TheStephLocke and I agree here. PASS Pro membership is a good idea—trying to recreate Pluralsight isn’t a good idea. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

PASS have been incrementally changing over the past few years. Pass Pro is a positive stride. Now is a time where rapid innovation is not just needed but wanted. I think some fresh folks with business and process ideas can really help. I also think we all can help. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

I've not been impressed with the event platform. Moving online happened quick and the event's done fairly well through tons of hard work. I'd like to use a specialist agency to organise a set of smaller events & incorporate lessons from PASS, Ignite, and more #SQLPASSBoDAMA

I've rebuilt fractured teams before and have demonstrated an ability to bring differing perspectives/opinions together and turn them into action. I also care too much about PASS & its impact on me and others to not make the effort to do whatever I can to save it. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

That’s one of the reasons I only wanted to run if like minded folks like @TheStephLocke @sqlatspeed @TheHybridDBA were running. I wanted to ensure we hate enough votes to force change. #SQLPASSBoDAMA
