#OUTA will keep an eye on the portfolio committee's meeting with @ServiceSETA and @CETASkillsDev tomorrow.
We expect #SSETA to inform @ParliamentofRSA why they are not taking action against officials exposed by #OUTA's investigation into the evaluation and awarding of tenders to Grayson Read, Star Sign and Print, as well as Five Star communications.
SSETA appointed @Werksmans to investigate the OUTA's findings on these tenders (remember that Werksmans also investigated NSFAS last year). Important to note that SSETA refused to share the Werksmans report with OUTA, even after a #PAIA application (we referred the matter to the Information Regulator).
These tenders were awarded during the time Andile Nongogo was CEO at #SSETA and Temba Mhambi as the chair.
Star Sign & Print is also the company that was referred to in the Khosa recordings as the entity who printed T-shirts and bags for the SACP conference in 2022. (See here https://t.co/BKPLnB7cgM)
The consortium partners of Grayson Reed who was awarded a tender by SSETA, is now part of #Coinvest who is one of the #NSFAS direct payment partners.
CETA should also inform the PC why the refuse to share their Grayson Reed tender documents with OUTA. Again we had to complain at the Information Regulator.
OUTA urge the Parliamentary Committee to use its oversight powers to instruct SSETA and CETA to be #transparent and give access to information. It is the public's right to get access to information held by state institutions - we act in public interest.
OUTA will not stop exposing these patronage networks in the Higher Education sector who waste millions of tax payers money and enrich themselves.

Charges against Nongogos excolleagues differ from this case. Hes no longer with #SSETA & those charges werent against him. This is about authorising payment for R302010 for a tender box that cost under R4k. Signing off on this raises concerns about integrity and fiduciary duties
