For the first time in history, a landmark global convention against cybercrime officially opened for signature, with Vietnam as the host nation.
The UN Convention against Cybercrime reflected global solidarity and a shared commitment to building a safe, healthy, and sustainable cyberspace. It also marked the launch of a global legal framework and reaffirmed the strength of multilateralism, where nations unite beyond differences to ensure peace, security, stability, and development.
The event was a significant milestone, with representatives from Vietnam and nearly 70 other countries signing the Convention.
At the ceremony, Luu Tran, Head of Product Development at SSID & Co-Founder & CTO of U2U Network, delivered a powerful speech on Decentralized Identity (DID), the new shield for the digital finance era.
