fun fact: when the entire tl was drowning in #suiscam in 2024, not a single person from Mysten went “yo maybe we should move this discussion to a moderated Discord channel”.
Dropping by to let everyone know that I spoke with @phillip_pon and we are working out a plan to create a discord for a great migration of the Cardano community from X. We can have happy, positive, well-moderated channels and leave behind the drama, lies, endless rage, and embittered people for a place where real conversations and real progress can be made.
I will continue broadcasting live streams to X as I have a million followers here, but will only take AMA questions from the new Cardano and current Midnight discords. I've seen some commentary that broadcasting means I'm back on X. For those people, I can't solve stupid.

Crashing out like this has happened before. We saw the same thing with Sui. At launch, Sui offered no airdrop to testnet users and instead went straight to an IEO across multiple major CEXs. Sentiment quickly turned negative, and #suiscam flooded the timelines.
Now, it is Monad’s turn.
This will likely be one of the most expensive experiments in Web3, with around $500m at stake. I am not saying Monad will necessarily crash and come back the way Sui did. It might, or it might not.
All we can really do is stay informed, filter out the noise, and make our decisions carefully. Some will make it, some can't.
It is going to be a fun ride or it is going to be painful. Only time will tell whether my decision was right or wrong🫡

I think it’s funny how people doubt $SUI will have a generational rally when we literally moved from $0.36 to $5.3 (14x), moved from #Suiscam to building the best tech stack in web3 and one of the most tight knit communities in the space.

I truly believe Sui will be the greatest L1 in crypto
I thought the same 2 yrs ago when I joined, for some time I had many doubts, especially during the #suiscam and no airdrop no community days
But I never give up, I posted abt the water chain every single day, been on many spaces, onboarded friends and many degens
I can trade on other blockchains but my home will always be Sui
I urgently need support to recover my funds and help prevent this from happening to others.
