Final post for today (I promise!). Just over a yr after submission of my PhD corrections, I've finally finished downloading the #SWWads from Sep 1941-Jul 1943, filling in the 2 'missing' years. Now to try to remember how to use #Nvivo! #History #academiclife

#OXO produced some excellent #SWWads, many of them referring to different civilian organisations. I am familiar with most of them, but SFI is one that I can't place, any #twitterstorians out there familiar with it? #history

I have a particular liking for brand characters in #SWWads, as @RobJames68 and @BradJBeaven can testify, so I was glad to see Mr. Barratt appear after a long absence, though I am concerned that his customer might have just admitted to misuse of ration points

As my supervisors @RobJames68 and @BradJBeaven will affirm, I really liked the brand characters in the #SWWads I used in my #PhD, but given that the Michelin Man is basically a pile of tyres, this ad does look a little like a serial killer carrying a dismembered victim #history

After I don't know how long, I have a week off work (thank goodness for reading weeks!) & have started to write my 1st post #PhD article, looking at ads in the Phoney War. This has been going around in my head for months, v. glad to start to put it on paper #SWWads #Happy

Thanks to marking and other stuff it has been a very long time since I have been able to do any #history work, but today I am able to spend some time down more #SWWads for my research. This is the first one downloaded of what I hope will be an ongoing process now #Happy
