The helpful manifesto from UK Network of Professors in Maternity/Maternal/Newborn Health sets out clearly that progress on continuity of carer is vital. It's a key maternity QI initiative & MUST NOT be put in a 'too hard' pile #ContinuityMatters #SafePersonalEquitable
Transformation of the maternity services on this scale is a big piece of work. It's tempting to put it on the 'too hard' pile.
But that just won't do.
If we really want to listen to women, let's work together to GET IT DONE!

It's tomorrow! I'm always glad when #InternationalHomebirthDay comes around. It provides me with a good space for reflection. I'm grateful that the NHS was willing & able to support my choice to birth at home. It felt like the best possible place for me ❤️

I particularly like how the Plan seeks to clarify roles and responsibilities across what is an increasingly complex and devolved maternity and neonatal service. For it to work effectively as a system, for #SafePersonalEquitable care, every individual part needs to work well. 2/2
