An NRCPD registered sign language interpreter being fully qualified does not necessarily mean that they have the skills to work in all domains. They should only accept assignments in domains that they have the skills and experience to practise in. #SafeToPractise

For the first time in our history, we have reached 1,300 Registered Sign Language Interpreters on the NRCPD registers nationally. This is a huge milestone and we are looking forward to seeing even more professionals join the registers in the years to come. #SafeToPractise

Absolutely agree. No qualification registration leaves the deaf person with no recourse to make any complaints and a sub standard service. Ask for the @NRCPD badge #SafeToPractise

@DeafAction we see you are advertising Level 2 Lipspeakers- this is not a recognised qualification and only Level 3 qualified Lipspeakers should be used. @SignatureDeaf will confirm. Can you remove listing from website please and stop using level 2? #RegistrationSafe
