I’m a longtime reader and I’m genuinely confused about something in your TIME100 AI 2025 profile of Joanne Jang. You celebrate her for “empowering users to fulfill their goals” right up to the point of not causing harm or infringing on others’ freedoms, which really resonated with me. I care deeply about how AI companies treat real people.
But then I discovered she follows X account that call GPT-4o users “mentally ill and deranged degenerates” who “will be discriminated against” (screenshots attached). This feels contradictory to the empowerment you highlight and the example she sets for the industry.
Is there context I’m missing? The people you honor shape AI’s future—clarity here would mean a lot.
