Today in 1920, Sam Sniderman was born in Toronto.
He opened his first Sam The Record Man store in 1959 & moved to his flagship location in 1961.
He promoted Canadian music throughout his life & pushed for CANCON regulations, & helped start the Juno Awards.
He died in 2012.
