2 weeks ago I expressed dismay at the proposed closure/privatisation of campus childcare centres & the dismantling of #genderequity initiatives under #COVID19. Since then I have witnessed the most incredible community of parents & allies come together to #SaveUNSWEarlyYears 💪🏽
These centres⚡️can not⚡️only be judged on their impact on the budget bottom line. They should be seen as what they truly are, key enablers of career progression for UNSW staff, and a crucial component of addressing our still significant equity gap for women at UNSW. #womeninSTEMM
@newfarmgirlau @UNSW EY is an enabler of high quality output from high quality staff and students. It’s an essential service, providing care for some of the most vulnerable members of society, children. To throw it into chaos in the middle of a pandemic is unconscionable #SaveUNSWEarlyYears
