In light of Traffic Management Plan.
Today meeting with DG FWO was held during his field visit at Sawan bridge in connection with construction/repair work of the bridge.
During the meeting, DG FWO expressed that hopefully on Sunday 02-07-2023, at location 1533 KM, north bridge/ road will be closed for all type of traffic of NB by placing crash barriers to start repair work. The traffic will be diverted as per the following proposed plans.
1. *LOCATION 1525 NB T-Chock*
At 1525 N/B T-chock, all HTV's will be diverted towards Islamabad Expressway to join through Koral Chock for Rawalpindi towards Kachehri and Saddar
2 *Location 1532 NB Bahria Town*
At Location 1532 NB, all LTV traffic will be diverted towards Bahria Town Phase 7 to re-join highway at Fauji Foundation Hospital Rawalpindi via DHA Phase-1.
Sir, DG FWO added that this proposed plan will be executed after discussion with Chairman CDA, Commissioner Rawalpindi, and CPO Rawalpindi. He further added that a written proposed plan along with necessary sign boards will be provided accordingly.
