Yesterday's monthly GDP figure suggested that the output of the UK economy was flat over the year to Q1, - an estimated 1 percent fall per capita. UK GDP per h ead growth has been steadily declining since the 1950s/60s when it was nearly 3pc a year. Now it has gone into reverse!
