Our Engagement with @SalfordUni has largely been successful.
From working to deliver social work practice-education placements with the #SchoolofHealth & Society to holding our very first in-person Legal Drop-in session last year at University House, on the Peel Park campus. We continue to strengthen our relationship with the University, and we look forward to this new chapter in our partnership with the Union.
Sandy Koujou; Head of Delivery and Services at CAHN, said:
“We started off our engagement with the University with intention and clarity of purpose. Community empowerment has always been central to our strategy of engagement, and this has been evident in all the various outcomes we have achieved so far with the University. As an alumnus of the institution, I am proud to see the various ways it has welcomed a collaborative approaching to working with us and the local community of Salford.”
Oluwasola O'Adesulu; Community Empowerment and Advocacy Officer at CAHN, said:
“It has been a pleasure working with the University and its’ different teams. As the lead department for the various engagements we have with the University, we have seen increasing ways to achieve mutually beneficial goals and targets. Whether that be directly benefiting the student members – through our drop-in events, or contributing to the development of the social work profession – through our placement programme with the school of health and society.”
