🚨 Africa Science Week - Somaliland🚨
Africa Science Week (ASW) 2023 edition is taking place in Hargeysa, #Somaliland starting tomorrow from June 19-26th.
The event organised by the Henry Luce Foundation & @NextEinsteinFor (NEF) will take place across 10 African countries. It’s an AIMS (African Institute of Mathematical Science) initiative.
The theme for this continental project is “Breaking Barriers, Inspiring Scientific Excellence” & promoting women in #STEM in Africa!
Somaliland has been selected due to its growing young educated students interest in #Science & #Technology up & down the country! 🥼 💻 👨🏾🔬
The goal of the event is to inspire & empower the next generation of female #scientists & #engineers in Somaliland.
Well done to @AdnanYasin2020 & @MariamRobly for working tirelessly behind the scenes to making this event possible in Somaliland.
Somaliland is already a tech hub & #entrepreneurial centre of excellence in the Horn of Africa, & this event will further contribute to that endeavour & passion!
