I don't think today's reasoning paper in Maths can possibly give a true picture of where our pupils are. Convoluted questions, often out of context, and deliberately written in ways that children (and teachers) won't have seen before. Our children deserve better than this. #sats

I wonder what fascinating education they could have been doing instead, that would inspire young minds.
Instead, they've had the joy of learning sucked out. Probably why many kids start to hate school.

@MrsSDalton75 These are exams pupils have to sit that are almost exclusively for the government to get a (very poor) benchmark for secondary school P8. It really is of sod-all use to children.

@HussainMoona @Alex_Bramley3 This is true. Or they have to go through more tests in Y7 to accurately assess. I've seen many children unable to spell their name, yet they were L7 in their SATs. I've had many children tell me how they were given papers in advance & given answers. Time to #scrapsats
