These were the visiting engines I was most looking forward to seeing at @southdevonrly's #SDR50 - 1501 from @svrofficialsite (about to leave Buckfastleigh with today's 12:40 to Totnes) and 9466 (running as 9462). Both have a chunky, slightly wonkily out of proportion, elegance

The fourth Auto Coach which will be operating at our #SDR50 celebrations in April. Where else in the world can you see four auto coaches working together? This one was built in 1930 and comes to us from our friends at @svrofficialsite

As we head into our #SDR50 50th season, here's a little #factoid. Our main #railway station is at #Buckfastleigh. Did you know that the name Buckfastleigh uses exactly half the letters of the alphabet with no repeats. Might be useful in a pub quiz one day! #facts #Devon
