Special Victims Unit Cmdr. Alex Behnen shared little new info on the search, but rebuffed & countered community criticism in the #SearchForAmber. Asked why river searches have stopped, Behnen said fast water & debris coming down the Scioto) have made it unsafe to dive search.

#NEW: over protests from her family & friends, @ColumbusPolice is defending its strategy today in the ongoing #SearchForAmber Evans. The 28-year-old disappeared on January 28th. Her car was found parked on Belle Street, along the Scioto Mile. She has not been heard from since.
