Brilliant performances from Alison Steadman and the late Myra Frances. But was it really the first lesbian kiss on British television? What about The Golden Road from the previous year? #SecondCityFirsts #BBCFour

An amazing piece of television. Don Warrington and Julie Walters were as good as they’ve always been, but Mona Hammond gives a great performance. Shame she didn’t live to see this repeated, but she won’t be forgotten. #SecondCityFirsts #BBCFour
