Today @Adobe visited #Sentralen to talk about some of their latest news. I was there to make sure that content was shown on the projector, and provide the timer.
In these jobs, I never pay too close attention to the content on the stage, but what I can say is this: If you want to be serious about creating thumbnails for social media-posts, Figma is your friend. With the help of AI and a large pool of legal stock-images they use for training LLMs, you can create interesting images very easily. At least the result will be much better than trying to prompt something with Dalle and ChatGPT, which I have tried with mixed results.
In my latest AV-jobs I have used the newest alpha-version of CueTimer 3.1 from @pretools which is still not made public. Here we will have 3 new features:
1. the presenter window
2. traffic light countdown
3. configurable list
I will come back to 1 and 2, but a couple of words about the configurable list: This allows you to create custom columns with info, hide columns, and shuffle the columns in any order you like. Then you can view the timer-list exactly how you want it, and turn it into a full event-schedule. Today I added the "comment" column which gave some important cues about each segment. And I can hide some columns I rarely change anyway, like "alert" (new name for warning), counter and speed. I could use the CueTimer timer-list as the event-schedule, and I didn't need to watch the original schedule-document, saving valuable space at FOH.
CueTimer 3.1 for Mac works fine for me, but there is still some work to be done before we can present it in public. Also, for the PC-version we are still finalising the new version of APS with the media-player, so it will take some time before the PC-version of CueTimer catches up. Hopefully we will release something new for CueTimer during the summer.
