Great having @academy_ireland in the SportsLab for some fitness testing today. The group went through an OHS, CMJ & squat jump, 10m acceleration sprints x 3, 3RM bench & squat and chin-ups in order to identify the weaknesses and strengths of each individual athlete. #setantatech

Some #Setantatech students took part in a 'spirited' soccer match yesterday. Using @statsports APEX, each player wore a unit and analysed the data as part of their athletic profiling. Thanks to @DamienYoung01 who also went through the applications of GPS with the group.

It's been a busy first day for our Performance Science students. The group were introduced to the concept of athlete profiling using sports technology. They observed, coached & compared a squat jump to a CMJ on @forcedecks to assess the athlete's stretch response. #SetantaTech
