Three Bahá’ís Remain in Judicial Limbo in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz After 48 Days It was learned on 9 August 2026 that Mrs. Sima Sebto, Mrs. Nahid Falahati, and Mr. Saied Hasani, three Bahá’ís from Shiraz, remain in an uncertain situation in Adelabad Prison 48 days after their arrest. They have been deprived of telephone contact and visits with their families, while Mr. Hasani is being held in solitary confinement. No explanation has been provided to their families regarding the restrictions on contact and visitation, and the families remain unaware of the reasons for these measures. Mrs. Sebto, who is married and the mother of two daughters aged 19 and 24, was arrested by security forces at her home in Shiraz on 23 June 2025. Since her arrest, she has been interrogated on several occasions and charged with “propaganda against the regime”. Mrs. Falahati was also arrested in Shiraz on 23 June 2025 by forces of the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and transferred to Adelabad Prison. Mr. Hasani was arrested the same day in Shiraz by agents of the same organisation.
