Meet Banjo!! This dude lives in the barn with the dogs, and is an excellent mouser. Don’t let his rough exterior scare you away! He is actually a huge softie for those dogs.

ojiig was born 3 years ago to the polaris pack alphas back during the early months of autumn prior to the disappearance of the humans. initially, her pack gave no real heed to the unwelcome presence to the humans who would occasionally kill them for sport (or so they assumed) during their hunting sessions. it was advised to stay away from them and anything that may look manmade.
ojiig followed their warnings up until one day her pack had disappeared outside of her younger brother, alcyone, from another batch. there was no trace nor understanding as to why her pack had mysteriously vanished so the two wandered off to go see if perhaps the humans were the ones to have captured them. during their search, the traces of humans nor her family were spotted and the two were left wandering the empty lands of the yellowstone for many days . their search was fruitless and they were beginning to notice the decline in food as well. with alcyone being as young and as small as he was, it didn’t take long for the young pup to fall ill.
ojiig, in a disarray, happened across the traveling dogs of the sirius pack and pleaded for their help to heal alcyone but by the time ojiig had managed to find food for her sick brother, his illness had exacerbated and he died shortly after. ojiig since then has stayed with the pack, though her grief and longing for her family has prevailed.

I’ll delve more into their lore later today (maybe) but in short Scraps is a very grateful little guy even when sleeping on the remnants of a towel in a cold train car
