What many people do not know: @cokeandcode had the biggest impact on my art direction for #cave. I have been looking up to him for many years and was fascinated by his minimalistic approach to #gamedev / #pixelart. Also, #slick2d got me into game development in the first place!

Second half of the starting party is coming along nicely - Witchford (frontliner) has all her skills, and I just finished up Altai's weapon: a tome that, unlike other character's weapons so far, actually provides 3 possible attacks instead of 1 #Slick2D #Java #gamedev #indiedev

[1/3] It was surprisingly difficult to get attacks to destroy cover - since obstacles (rocks) and cover (bushes) can be interacted with by certain attacks, theyre technically NPCs so they can be easily slotted into the targeting system #Java #Slick2D #indiedev #gamedev

implemented systems for "self-only" targeting for things like self-buffs, and attacks that move the user and/or the target - Raging Streak actually implements both as Imo'lei passes and slashes right through whatever's in front of her #Slick2D #Java #indiedev #gamedev

I did it! I'm officially back to making progress! It's not much, but parts now have prices, and the inventory menu is 1 function away from being an actual functioning inventory menu, today has been excellent #indiedev #gamedev #java #Slick2D

Making little improvements as I translate - added some pointer lines to give the equipment buttons some room to breathe, and due to stuff like white capes I gave portraits a per-character color filter in this menu #gamedev #indiedev #Slick2D #Java
