PORN ADDICTION and SEDUCTIVE DRESSING I want to address something today that is sensitive . Sexuality is a sensitive issue and many would rather hide than expose delicate issues to the light . Today I want to speak about porn addiction . For all our piety in Nigeria , we are one of the highest consumers of pornographic content in the world . This means HYPERSEXUALIZED REALITY is now a major factor in this country . Now though porn itself is a moral issue , porn addiction is not . It is a neurological issue . A porn addict has his brain wiring messed up by porn consumption such that he is able to flood his reward system with high doses of dopamine by just viewing explicit content on the screen . The best way to describe what a porn brain looks like is a brain dropped into a frying pan filled with oil and fried . The brain is becoming PLASTIC alternating between SLOW SPEED and FAST SPEED . The result is a dysfunctional neurological and sexual pattern . The person viewing porn is not viewing it for the SEX but for the dopaminergic release their brain Craves to stabilize their MOOD. So porn is a medication to the porn addict to stabilize their mood or take stress off their brain . The problem with this is that porn causes the release of so much dopamine that the brain creates a program that always motivates towards porn for a dopaminergic release . As a result there is little or no motivation for something else , even God ! How does seductive dressing play a role ? Well, there are different kinds of porn or sexual material . Some materials are sexually explicit or implicit . A sexually explicit material leaves no room to the imagination and immediately triggers a dopaminergic release . While a sexually implicit material releases a lesser amount of dopamine which pushes the brain to seek for more stimuli to arrive at the dopaminergic HIGHS of a sexually explicit material. Let me explain this in a way you will understand. INSTAGRAM. A lot of pictures on Instagram are not sexually explicit but implicit . You will have women dancing seductively in clothes that barely covers or exxagerates their bodies . Now if a porn addict sees that woman in real life he may not have as much dopaminergic response as he would if he saw that same woman in that same dress on screen . Why ? Simple . The Porn brain associates or interprets any sexual image explicit or implicit in a sexual way . I personally view the Instagram explore page as a road show into hell . Following just one person can make that app suggest funny things to you . So what the porn brain will suggest to the addict is to keep scrolling through as many images as possible until the one with the right dopaminergic trigger is found . You may not understand the impact of indecent dressing on the MALE PSYCHOLOGY until you seat down to understand PORN ADDICTION in a man . This is why , if you are a man struggling with porn , there are social media accounts you shouldn’t be following AT ALL . I will speak on how to overcome porn addiction practically in a later post . I don’t blame women on their dressing choices but I do think that the moment a woman understands that we are already in a HYPERSEXUALIZED environment with men being programmed to be Sex addicts and not intimate , responsible lovers , that woman will want to do everything to make this world just a bit better and safer .
