Guys, unfortunately, despite multiple attempts over the past few months, I have been unable to log in and view the response to my RTI on the Pune #SmartCityScam. It always send a regret.
To me, this appears deliberate. With no option left, I will now use CPGRAMS to obtain the response and will also start verifying each project on the ground. For this, I will need support from people living in the ABB area (Aundh, Baner, and Balewadi), as most of these projects were implemented there.
₹3,333 crore was enough to lay water pipelines and build cycle lanes across the entire city, yet PMC has failed us, and I am certain multiple parties are involved.
You have the right to know the truth so that you can choose your leaders wisely in the upcoming elections.
Pune claims to have completed 55 Smart City projects worth ₹3,333 Cr.
I’ve filed an RTI just now to know the names, locations & costs of each one.
Once I get the list, I’ll take 55 days from my schedule, visit all sites, and show you the truth, project by project, cost by cost, on video.

I couldn’t hold back on this one.
You need to know how your ₹3,333 Cr, yes, your tax money is being wasted or siphoned off in the name of Smart City projects by @PMCPune.
Take this another project for example, worth ₹15.75 lakh, implemented in 2022, supposedly to install public surveillance cameras. It was supposed to be maintained for 5 years ie till 2027
Well, guess what? Out of 5, At two locations, there are no cameras at all and I am sure If investigated at other places. It wont be there too.
And once again, the contract was awarded to a proprietorship firm.
Larger Q is, Why aren’t there regulations mandating that only LLPs, Pvt Ltd, or Public Ltd companies handle such public infrastructure projects?
Today it’s just cameras.
Tomorrow, what’s stopping them from “installing” things that never existed in the first place?
It’s time we start asking the right questions and chose right candidate in upcoming PMC elections.
