We @IrishInquiry have been informed Minister Dara Calleary will attend a SMART TOWNS & VILLAGE conference along with County Councillors (no public allowed) in which plans to turn Ireland’s rural villages into "Smart" Towns will be discussed. These towns ARE dystopian uber control panopticon zones complete with mass surveillance and restrictions on when and how and how far you can travel.
You see, there's more to cancelling Irish festivals in Leitrim than there appears. All things Irish and unique must be replaced. Because Agenda 2030 is fast approaching. You need to get up to speed and fast.
If you haven't already, watch The Agenda then seek it out on You Tube. It is a must see documentary to help you understand what a panopticon is and what is coming.
Panopticon "Smart" Towns will be, of course, sold as a wonderful thing, but if it's all so wonderful, then why the secrecy? Why not a public conference seeking public consultation?
Put the name "smart" in something, and people think it's exactly that. Just like the "biometric digital wallet" that is being introduced in Ireland this year. Wallet sounds nice. But as we said the other day in a post about the introduction of (what is essentially) Universal Basic Income in Ireland, the only free cheese is in a mousetrap.
But what exactly are "Smart" Towns? (look up the controversy about the one implemented in Oxford and what the locals did to rebel). Think 2km lockdown restrictions, and you have a good idea. But with the addition of cameras inside every streetlight and physical barriers put in place to prevent travel outside your zone (and drone cameras within a fee years). In time, there will be facial recognition used to police it all.
That's one reason you see cameras installed on self-service check outs all the time. Your face is being scanned in various shops. Your data is being gathered all the time in the real world when you use a card or Google pay. They are gathering "face data" in the same manner.
Getting rid of cash is vital to make this smart towns plan work. That's why when you go into M&S, the machines spit your notes out at you, one by one, a couple of seconds between each one. Painfully slow. On the Pat Kenny show the other day, the topic of discussion was getting rid of cash.
Cash provides freedom. Autonomy. In time, banks will own all the money because it will all be digital. Or the new currency will be carbon credits (there's already carbon banks). Your bank account can be switched off. The EU has unveiled plans for a digital currency (CBDCs and blockchain).
In time also your appliances in your home will all be "smart." But it is wise to stop and ask, "Why do I need a fridge or washing machine with a smart panel?" The answer is you don't. New Yorkers recently found out the hard way that when the grid shuts down, you can not open the door on your technologically fancy fridge.
You also don't need that "smart" electric car that is more harmful to the environment than a petrol one (look into how lithium and cobalt are mined and who mines these). Your electric car also depreciates very fast and requires expensive repairs. But MORE than that, in the future, it will be possible to prevent you from starting or driving your car if you go outside your "Smart" town zone.
Mass non compliance is a must. Don't say you were not forewarned.
