Competition at its finest. Multiple players stepped up to earn DAWG of the day throughout spring, @LangiSolo came out on top! #snowbadgers 🥩

DAWG OF THE SPRING This past spring ball we were met with an interesting challenge as players and coaches. With injuries lingering in the OL room, we were limited with crossover and team reps to preserve the rest of our healthy OL. As a result, we had a ton of indy, which I loved, but minimal opportunities to apply what we were doing in indy. Keeping my group excited and motivated with no chance of implementing our indy work was a concern. In an effort to keep the group focused, promote competition within indy periods, and hold the group accountable I introduced “Dawg Of The Day” Each day, we actively searched for players who were focused, executing at a high level, being a good teammate, and being detailed in their work that day. As spring ball progressed, the boys began to get excited and intentional about the work they put on film and we, as coaches, found it becoming more difficult to identify a “Dawg of the Day” because so many were holding themselves to the standard we set. It got to a point where we had to nitpick the minor things to be able to award a DAWG for that day. Whoever accumulated the most “DAWG OF THE DAY” would be awarded “DAWG OF THE SPRING” and would be treated to a steak dinner at Fleming’s. This years “DAWG OF THE SPRING” was Solomone “Solo” Langi @LangiSolo He opted out of the dinner and asked for shoes instead (I’m a collector of many things lol) and I was happy to oblige!! Congrats Solo!! Excited to run this back for fall camp 😈 #snowcollege #gobadgers @jpulou
