Greetings
We have a few questions...
The core of the application was originally written in the #Natural programming language and its associated database infrastructure.
The German software giant #SoftwareAG owns the rights to this underlying technology. However, the CPR Office has spent a number of years working to modernize the platform and migrate parts of the code to open web technologies [ such as #Java ] so that the system is not locked into a single specific vendor.
Actual operations, technical management, and software modernization have been outsourced to private IT giants through public tenders:
Primary vendor: The American IT corporation #DXC Technology holds the contract to operate, maintain, and further develop the CPR system in its own data centers.
Subcontractor: The Danish IT company #Nine [ part of the #TriforkGroup ], acting as a subcontractor to DXC, has been responsible for a significant portion of the actual modernization work, including the development of online platforms and batch platforms, as well as integrations with the Danish Address Register [ #DAR ] and the joint-government Data Distributor.
So... a number of questions are surfacing:
1. Why did the the system not have [ a functional ] request-lock/shutdown,- either time or count-based?
2. Why is the CPR-Register/Office which serves under your ministry, using a US company: DXC Technology [ assuming you agree, that #CPR is related to critical infrastructure ] ?
3. Have you received any reporting from #NSK/#PET/#FE or other entities, that #AI to some extent has been used, due to a rogue agent [ or moreso systems that are intentionally designed to loop, prompt themselves, and execute multi-step tasks without human intervention like Auto-GPT or BabyAGI ] ?
4. Who is going to pay damages for all this havoc, not to mention the normal transaction-fee via CPR-Direct, which amounts to approximately DKK 2.464.000 ?
We ask those questions, because it affects EVERY single Dane, alive or dead for that matter and ... the entire situation smells.
We originally wondered if the non-disclosed company in question was either a major bank or insurance-company, but now, we tend to believe, it is a small to medium-sized data-company.
Remember what happened to #CSC❓️
Thank you for your attention in this matter.

A massive data breach has exposed the personal identification [ CPR ] numbers, names, and addresses of approximately 8.8 million individuals registered in Denmark's Central Person Register [ Det Centrale Personregister ].
The incident, described by Digitalisation Minister Christina Egelund as a "deeply serious incident," affects a number greater than Denmark's living population because the database contains records of deceased individuals and those who have emigrated.
People with active name and address protection were not exposed.
How It Was Possible
Initial findings show that the incident was not a traditional brute-force network infiltration, but rather an exploitation of existing digital infrastructure:
• Misuse of Legitimate Access: Unauthorized actors compromised and exploited the legal, valid access rights granted to a private Danish company.
• Irregular Database Queries: The attackers used this corporate access to perform vast, unauthorized searches within the database throughout September 2026.
• Delayed Detection: The irregular activity was first detected by the CPR administration on the evening of Friday, 2 October 2026, with the full scale of the data extraction uncovered over the weekend.
Who Is Behind the Attack
As of today, no specific group or country has been identified as the perpetrator.
• Early Investigation Stage: The Danish National Police [ Politi ] and the Danish Data Protection Agency [ #Datatilsynet ]have launched a joint investigation. Authorities state it is too early to determine who is behind the breach.
• Corporate Lockdown: The private company whose access credentials were abused has been completely blocked from the CPR system while the investigation continues.
• Contextual Environment: While not explicitly linked to this event, the breach occurred shortly after the Danish Agency for Public Security [ Styrelsen for Samfundssikkerhed ] raised the national threat level for destructive cyberattacks to "high" due to rising regional geopolitical tensions.
Recommended Citizen Action
Because stolen CPR numbers and addresses can be weaponised for targeted #identitytheft and #phishing scams, authorities via Sikkerdigital recommend taking immediate precautions:
• Enable a Credit Warning: Actively set up a credit warning [ kreditadvarsel ] on https://t.co/qAPx5FeJmq to prevent #scammers from taking out loans or opening lines of credit in your name.
• Exercise High Skepticism: Treat unexpected emails, SMS messages, or phone calls with severe caution, even if the sender knows your exact name, address, and CPR number.
• Do Not Share MitID Details: Never click on unsolicited links or input your MitID, passwords, or credit card details via a digital request.
However... we would like to bear the following on mind [ mainly due to the current non-disclosure of the name and type of company who was used as an intermediate during the data-breach ]:

The takeaway: Founder buybacks are rare. Unicorn ambitions in German B2B software are even rarer.
Cumulocity might just be one to watch.
