Why I Took Profits in the Invesco Solar ETF (TAN)... While it took them longer than their alternative-energy counterparts, #solarenergy finally rallied this week with the Invesco #SolarETF (#TAN) triggering my next sell order, trimming 5.53% of my position at $60.82 on Tuesday. The sale locked in +103.62% in gains on shares I bought for $29.87 on March 31, 2025 and lowered my per-share cost -0.44% from $56.55 to $56.30. This sale was more about #riskmanagement than profit-taking. This sector is notoriously volatile, so by reducing the size of my position at potential resistance/rejection levels, I’ve freed up the capital to add back at lower levels. From here, my next sell target is $68.36, just below a past level of resistance the $TAN last tested in July 2022. My next buy target is $40.93, just above the Solar ETF’s low from August 2025’s pullback.

I like this play instead of an individual solar stock to reduce some volatility. Shakeout yesterday, it was too obvious, bounced off 10wk. I like it close to $70 w support at 21ema. Looks ready to run again. $TAN #solarETF
