The last moments of Solid Dennis's life were wrapped in love. What a blissful and blessed little cat. It was a good day to die.

Some of today's #SmallBeauties:Mr RH & #SolidDennis enjoying benchlife in good company. A perfect red rose. A little garden orb spider against a cloudy sky. A hessian bag that made me smile in the supermarket. Having £25 to spend & our shopping costing £24.94! Strawberry meringue
Some of yesterday's #SmallBeauties: a second wave of plump blackberries in the hedgehermitage garden, the phrase 'nice cream'; makes me laugh, perusing my 'Forager's Calendar' & looking forward to a month of firkling, #SolidDennis being impossibly cute, the first ivy flowers.

I am at the vets with #SolidDennis, where he is having his diabetic health check. He is currently putting his training as a murder mystery victim to good use. Those acting classes were worth the expense after all.
So, Mr H-D agreed to sample my homemade blackberry scones. It was quite an experience for us both!
After some mixed messages all was well. He loves them.
Also, #SolidDennis ran off with one of my blackberries whilst I was trying to take photos, but we won't mention that.
Solid Dennis update: it's not perfect yet but the vet is pleased with his progress and we are taking him back for another check up in a month. Hoorah!

Our elderly, wobbly, diabetic gentleman, Solid Dennis, is off to the vets this morning to see whether his insulin injections are working. Any thoughts and prayers for calm and wellbeing are most welcome.
