We need to re-consider what we define as excellence in science. This concept is used to assess careers and may not be inclusive. Some say the concept of excellence may need to be decolonized or maybe scrapped altogether. @Afroscientist #SolutionsForGenderEquity
One of the things that mentors can do is give voice, space and opportunities to women and people from the Global South. It costs nothing for mentors to elevate women, but can really open up opportunities. @KuiMuraya #SolutionsForGenderEquity
