Much as #Rolemaster were house rules and a skill system initially, for D&D, #SpaceMaster was initially the same ideas for Traveller but using the same rules. The main setting world of Kulthea in Rolemaster is even an off-limits world in Spacemaster, allowing crossovers. The only book I would avoid are their Time Riders, and Cyberspace ones. Although Cyberspace has some good plot ideas.
