Great to see the annual post-breeding flock of House Sparrows at Crosby Marine Park, Merseyside this pm. At least 350 birds present. Lots of juvs in the flock, the local breeders appear to have done well this year. Feeding on Marram Grass seeds in the dunes @BirdGuides #spadgers

Sparrows are falling down the chimneys. One fluttered down as we were having tea, looked surprised & elevated back up. Two more knocked at the glass on the woodburner. We opened the door & escorted them both out the window. They are busy feeding chicks under the eaves! #spadgers
