BRUSSELS RULES AGAINST LIMITS ON GENDER PROPAGANDA‼️ One and a half weeks after the elections, the Court of the European Union has struck down Hungary’s child protection law. According to the Brussels court, the spread of gender-related content in media and advertising cannot be restricted — and even the registry of individuals convicted of pedophile crimes is considered contrary to EU law. The ruling raises serious questions about the role of EU institutions in sensitive social and cultural matters. This decision is further proof that the EU has shifted toward a woke ideological framework, where gender ideology is no longer debated but enforced. In doing so, Brussels claims authority where none was granted, overriding the fundamental rights of parents to shape their children’s upbringing.

In Ireland we enjoy the constitutional protection under Article 42.1 as parents regarding the moral education of our children. The Irish Supreme Court has repeatedly affirmed that parents’ have authority over the religious & moral formation of their children & that it takes precedence over state action in education. (See Atheist Ireland) Under the Education Act 1998 & Dept of Education policy, parents retain the statutory right to withdraw their children from SPHE classes in schools. The opt-out is not window dressing: it flows directly from constitutional recognition of parental rights. The ECJ ruling therefore creates a tension: it elevates a contested ideological reading of “EU values” above the express constitutional protections that Ireland & other EU countries afford to parents. This sits uneasily with the EU principle of solidarity (article 5 TEU) and the duty to respect member states national identities & constitutional structures.
