What a week! An extraordinary week, spent as part of team leading a pilgrimage of these fabulous young Catholic teachers from England, Scotland, and Ireland. They have given me more than I have given them and go home with a heart enlarged and a soul on fire. #Jubilee2025
Yesterday was our last day on pilgrimage, marked by a celebration of Mass in the glorious and ever interesting San Clemente. Fr Paul Lawlor OP, Prior of the Church gave us a fascinating talk on the church. Here you can see the very roots of the Church. #Jubilee2025
Addressing a delegation of teachers and educationalists from Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales last weekend, Pope Leo XIV told the teachers, “Children will look up to you as models of faith, particularly in how you teach and live.”

Our pilgrim-teachers celebrated Mass in the Church on the spot where St. Francis of Assisi stripped and gave away all he had, and near the tomb of Bl. Carlo Acutis (whose face is visible below).
Fr. George challenged us to live original lives and not to be mere photocopies.
Today, our pilgrimage for young teachers has arrived in Assisi. We have truly been blessed during this week. Heart has spoken to heart, and faith set aflame. #Jubilee2025#Jubileo2025
Later in the day our teacher-pilgrims passed through the Holy Door of St. Paul Outside the Walls, celebrated Mass in the Chapel of St. Stephen the Proto-Martyr and prayed at the tomb of St. Paul. #jubileo2025#Jubilee2025
