Out with CRG today at Splott Beach which isn't a traditional beach. Quite a strong smell here and lots of bricks! Check out Cardiff Rivers Group fb or Instagram page later for full details of how we got on. Always lovely to bump into old friends. #splottbeach #splottbeachbricks
New species spots for me this week #WildCardiffHour! Pintails and Plover (I think) at #SplottBeach on Sunday
Can't remember if I've shared this one before

As weird as this beach is, it saved my sanity during lockdown.
It’ll always have a special place in my heart

Happy birthday to the Wales Coastal Path, including #SplottBeach and #CardiffBay barrage! https://t.co/ciSQweeVQ9
Entered this into a poetry competition a while back, didn't win, or get anywhere, but a post today from @RoathHistory made me think about it again, so here it is. #SplottBeach
It may be smelly, it may be crumbly, there may be the odd spot set on fire, but it's ours and the sunsets are amazing! All hail #Splottbeach and the coastal path!

@cardiffbites @welsh_tenor @ILovesTheDiff Here it is! There's a patch of land wide enough for three or four cars and a gate leading to #SplottBeach and the coastal path.

As we go into lockdown #2 I feel like I need to find the mythical Splott Beach that everyone visited in lockdown #1! It doesn’t appear on AppleMaps... any ideas @cardiffbites @ILovesTheDiff #SplottBeach
Number 5 - visit the place where Superman crashed down to earth (that's right, it's not Smallville, it's #SplottBeach!). A wild mix of industrial & natural, this landscape can be both bleak & beautiful at the same time. Who knows what (or who) you will find! #cardifflocallockdown
