After a rain shortened #SpringClassic19, that didn’t allow our Sr Men to play the final, they will be off to Camrose this Canada Day long weekend for the annual Doug Galenza Memorial!
On our way home from #SpringClassic19. Two big wins against St. Albert Angels and S’toon G-Force yesterday put us in the semi final. Waited around all day to play, but the rain poopooed that plan. Gonna be some tired ladies at work tomorrow.
Well, the rain did not cooperate with us this wknd, but that’s a wrap on our modified/compressed #SpringClassic19! Huge thanks to all teams, managers, fans, and especially volunteers, that patiently made it as great a success as possible! We’ll be back in 2020 better than ever!!

After a rain delayed Saturday of #SpringClassic19 we are back today and the sun is shining. John Ganie diamond is unplayable, so we are compressing everything onto the remaining 3 diamonds. New schedule is posted at the concession.
The games for #SpringClassic19 are done for the day. If rain stops overnight we will continue 2moro with a compressed schedule! However, silver lining is that cabaret will open early and start at 7 to give people somewhere to escape the rain!! Let the bad decision making begin!
#SpringClassic19 resumes this morning at 9 am with all 4 divisions featuring games. Mother Nature cooperated yesterday; fingers crossed that continues today!!
Breaking news: the boys are willing to put in some work if teams are willing to make #SpringClassic19 a go. The vac truck is on standby, and cooperation from Mother Nature, in terms of sun and wind this afternoon are going to allow us to get this thing started!
We will be making a call about the status of #SpringClassic19 around noon. Mother Nature has been a fickle bitch this week, but the boys had the vac truck out last night trying to salavage this thing. Coaches and managers stay by your email.

Beer gardens/concession open all wknd. A ball tourney in Irma virtually guarantees rain (you’re welcome farmers), and we will probably triple the population of our small town (you’re welcome local businesses)! #givingback #vactrucksonstandby
We are off to Irma tomorrow for the #SpringClassic19. Looking forward to the great competition on the field and good times off it.
It all begins Friday!!! We are super proud of the quality of this year’s Women’s Open division, ft some of the THE top teams in all of Western Canada. The ladies kick off the #SpringClassic19 brackets on Friday night with a pair of games at 7:00 pm.
And of course, who could forget that Saturday is capped off in the north end of the curling rink with our world famous #SpringClassic19 cabaret!!! Terrible decisions will be made!!
We are super excited that our Men’s Open bracket will also serve as a @ISCFastpitch World Tournament Qualifier!! 6 teams will battle, not only for the #SpringClassic19 title, but also the opportunity to join the world’s elite in Wisconsin in August!!
The men get in on the #SpringClassic19 action starting on Saturday. Our village fastball brothers @RoyalsAlbert will look to bring the Intermediate division championship back to Irma!!

Over the years, we have started a tradition of showcasing a local team on Friday night under the bright lights of Tiger Stadium. This year that honor goes to our U23 girls who will try 2 get back to their 3rd straight final in the Ladies Intermediate bracket of #SpringClassic19!
