#SCALEbyNumbers There were a total of 38 CTD casts with Niskin bottles and 30 CTD casts with GoFlo bottles. This equates to 720 GoFlos being carried empty and 720 GoFlos being carried full of seawater... the equivalent of ~9 tonnes @TracexS @geotraces

The S.A. Agulhas II arrived at the Port of Cape Town this morning after a 39 day Southern Ocean cruise, going all the way to the Marginal Ice Zone.
Welcome home!!
And just like that the SCALE Spring cruise has come to an end. However, the story of the science done on board is just beginning. Over the next week we will reveal what this group of 93 scientists managed to do in just under 6 weeks
