We loved our walk to the post box to send the invitations we have written to invite our parents to our Christmas performance next week. We have learnt about the features of an invitation and what information needs to go on an envelope! #StainesPrepEnglish #StainesPrepLearn 💌📮

2 new #tufftrays that have been introduced this week in our outside area. We are really learning to use these trays independently and continue our learning outside the classroom #continuousprovision #StainesPrepBeYourBest #StainesPrepLearn

We have enjoyed learning about the relationship between + and -. We have written fact families, using cubes to help us visually see the calculations and enjoyed playing a game to consolidate our learning. #StainesPrepMaths ➕➖ #StainesPrepLearn

"What would be the best material for an umbrella?" We loved setting up this investigation and testing different materials. Poor teddy did get wet a couple of times! ☔ #KS1Science #StainesPrepScience #StainesPrepLearn #workingscientifically #scientificenquiry

We have been learning about number bonds this week and enjoyed using the bar model, cubes and 10s frames. We have been writing them systematically! Marvellous mathematicians @WhiteRoseMaths #KS1maths #primarymaths #StainesPrepLearn #StainesPrepMaths

After reading 'The 3 Little Pigs', we went for a walk and were thinking about why different materials are used for different parts of our school building. We thought about the properties of each material #StainesPrepScience #StainesPrepLearn #KS1Science

#StainesPrepYear1 thought about how we could sort out animals. These are some of the ideas that we came up with. We then learnt about 5 animals groups - mammals🐄, amphibians🐸, reptiles🐢, fish🐠 and birds🦉. #StainesPrepScience #StainesPrepLearn
