SESRIC has successfully conducted the Study Visit on “Fishery & Aquaculture Statistics” on 13–15 Jan 2026 in Ankara and Trabzon, Türkiye.
Organised under SESRIC’s #StatCaB Programme in collaboration with @TurkStat, @FAOfish / @FAO, and hosted by @tctarim, the activity was benefitted by the experts from the Gambia Bureau of Statistics (@GBoS_Portal) and the Ministry of Fisheries & Water Resources, The Gambia (@MoFWR_Gambia).
The programme combined technical sessions with a field visit and study tour at the Central Fisheries Research Institute (SUMAE) in Trabzon, enriching practical understanding of fisheries & aquaculture data production mechanisms.
SESRIC, within the framework of its #StatCaB Programme and in collaboration with @TurkStat, successfully organised a study visit on “Geospatial Data” on 4–5 November 2025 in Ankara.
The two-day study visit benefited representatives from @PCBSPalestine and aimed to enhance their knowledge and technical capacity in geospatial data and remote sensing, with a focus on practical applications and real-world use cases.
Participants explored Türkiye’s experience, best practices, and ongoing projects in geospatial information systems, satellite imagery, and spatial data management.
