Nelson When I was sealed we were counseled to attend the temple weekly, and trying to do that over the years has been a great blessing to me in my life. But 10 years ago, I felt Satan’s attacks against me start to increase— they were coming hard and they were coming fast. It felt impossible for me to hold them at bay, and it felt like they would crush me at times. This is the same time President Nelson started stressing the importance of Temple attendance. Make attendance a priority. Attend as often as you possibly can. And then came the BLESSINGS he promised us! SO MANY BLESSINGS!! Because I live close to a temple, and my current circumstances could allow me to get to the temple more than once a week (sacrificing some sleep and entertainment along the way) I decided to accept President Nelson’s challenges. He had made so many promises that I could not resist. I wanted those blessings in my life. I want to testify that the POWER and protection we receive by attending the Temple is REAL! Almost immediately I felt Satan’s attacks against me subside. If there was a week I couldn’t make it to the Temple I felt it. I felt the absence of power. On weeks when I could feel the attacks intensifying again, I would add another trip (or two) to the Temple that week. I needed that added protection. The results were unmistakable! There is no way I could ever deny the power that came into my life. I have been a “shout it from the rooftops” kind of person ever since— the power is REAL! “If you don’t yet love to attend the temple, go more often—not less. Let the Lord, through His Spirit, teach and inspire you there. I promise you that over time, the temple will become a place of safety, solace, and revelation.” Russell M. Nelson

I made a comment today in our 5th Sunday meeting. It was caught by the presenter, who asked, "So, you're reading the Book of Mormon AND doing Come Follow Me, which is also Book of Mormon?" I answered, "Yes. I actually have 4 different bookmarks going simultaneously. 3 Nephi 11, 1 Nephi 17, Mosiah 18..." About then, his eyes were like 😳 What can I say? I love the Book of Mormon-Another Testament of Jesus Christ.
