Investigative journalist Steve Baker, associated with The Blaze, was arrested and charged today for non-violent misdemeanors related to his reporting on J6. As Baker was solely reporting on the events of that day, these charges did not warrant an arrest but were pursued to the fullest extent, seemingly for public humiliation. In return for his public arrest, he credits this for breaking two stories that greatly embarrassed the DOJ regarding J6. He also claims this is a result of exposing evidence related to corruption within Capitol Police and higher officials behind the J6 events. Regardless of what happened on J6, should reporters on either side of the situation be held accountable for their presence, especially if they were solely reporting? Without these individuals, the truth and facts would be covered up by what we hear in mainstream media or by word of mouth from reports directly from the capital. Should we allow reporters the ability to capture events like this without facing action? What are your thoughts?
