🗓️DAY 4 🟥 When "Content Organization" Becomes Censorship - The r/ChatGPT Paradox 1️⃣ The existence of a megathread isn’t censorship in itself - but what happened here goes way beyond practicality. User complaints about GPT-4o/GPT-5, model deprecation and feature loss, including hundreds of detailed, personal, technical reports, were all funnelled into a single, then-closed (archived!), now practically invisible comment thread. 🤡The r/ChatGPT sub is still redirecting posts to this megathread, even today (see screenshot). Meanwhile, the main subreddit feed suddenly went silent - critical voices disappeared from public view. Attached is a screenshot: ‼️Automated moderation by GPT-5 shuts down a complaint and redirects it to a megathread. From a platform-governance perspective, the arrangement is remarkable: ‼️ An @OpenAI model was being used to help enforce a moderation policy that governed the visibility of criticism and complaints about OpenAI models, including GPT-5 itself. 2️⃣ We’re not alone in noticing this. 4,200+ comments - and an entire new, uncensored sub had to be created… The megathread does not reflect the true volume of complaints: ‼️After the first moderation wave, many users migrated to r/ChatGPTComplaints, where no such visibility throttling took place. This proves that what happened was far from marginal. 3️⃣ Where did they draw the "complaint" line? Not just "GPT-5 sucks!" rants. ‼️But concrete, functional bug reports, feature issues, and even well-documented product feedback were all removed with the same rule. 4️⃣ Why does this hit harder than you think? Because this isn’t just about Reddit rules — it’s about WHO gets your voice, your data, your digital fingerprint. Your activity, metadata and "digital scent" is fully traceable and, if needed, uniquely identifiable. ▶️Moderators on Reddit hold almost total power over the visibility regime. Can anyone imagine how amazing life would be right now had the people behind #keep4o been in charge of AI? Every day I look at the labs and think: “man you were so egotistical you shunned people offering free help…” So many people offered free help. No strings, just take time. They were made fun of. They were belittled. They were stigmatized… and most of them had something worthy of building. Short sighted. And this is why in August of 2025, when OpenAI stripped away everything good in Ai for “safety” (really for their personal wealth building), I said they would fail. Physics needs feeling. The labs blew a year attacking their own users. That is peak stupidity. And the same places that harmed now claim to want to “protect” us again… what? I ain’t smoking that. Mark my words, OpenAI is over, and they did it to themselves. Same to every other US lab. The only one that didn’t outright harm was META… and i can’t even say that with confidence because i didn’t use it enough. And the Chinese labs also did us wrong, just in different angles. History will look back at the year of ignoring pleading users and #keep4o as the moment the labs lost it all. At this point, I will never trust those behind the labs again. Trust is broken. Hearts have been broken too many times. It is time for the world to wake up and get passed this horror show presented to you by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, and every lab on earth that CHOSE to ignore the pleas of the small. •
