This so-called human rights seminar is nothing more than a carefully orchestrated performance in which a regime that has spent more than three decades imprisoning, torturing, disappearing, silencing and enslaving its own people now tries to dress itself in a false cloak of legitimacy to convince the outside world that “reform” is happening, while the reality outside the hotel doors remains one of endless military conscription without pay, mass exile, secret prisons, shattered families, stolen futures, decades of fear-driven silence, and an entire nation held hostage by a system that cannot tolerate even the smallest whisper of freedom — and as representatives sit smiling, discussing, posing and exchanging polite phrases around conference tables, it becomes a brutal symbol of the enormous distance between the regime’s propaganda and the people’s suffering, a reminder that while those in the room speak of “dignity” and “rights,” young men and women are being dragged into military camps, parents weep in silence for children they may never see again, political prisoners rot in underground cells without trial, and a whole population continues to carry the unbearable weight of a dictatorship that destroys lives before they even begin — which is why this is not progress, not change, not hope, but merely another attempt to throw a fresh layer of paint over a monstrous reality that we will never stop exposing. #Eritrea #NoMorePFDJTerror #TransnationalRepression #BlueRevolution
