Today we are celebrating Eid AND the last class for our #StrathEdTESOL students.
These young men have supported young people in schools across Glasgow to learn and develop since October. We have been amazed at their progress and proud of their resilience.
We are so grateful to our friends at @AnderstonPS for hosting two of our Year 2 #StrathEdTESOL students for the first time this year. When it's your first time in a Scottish primary school, kindness and a warm welcome go a long way. THANK YOU!!! πππ

@AnderstonPS is one of our new partner schools. Our #StrathEdTESOL students are studying at @StrathEDU for three yrs before returning to Oman to teach English. This is our 2nd yr students' first placement - supporting children new to Glasgow

This week, Year 2 #StrathEdTESOL students are preparing to go out to Glasgow schools on placement to support migrant children. Thanks to @Kathdaisy and her Modern Studies students for coming along today to help us. πππ
All 3rd and 4th yr #StrathEdTESOL students are starting placement this week. Third years are teaching Arabic or Chinese as an L3 but also running advanced classes for Arabic speakers in some schools. Yr 4 are in Glasgow secondary school working with our @EALGlasgow colleagues. π
@GioFassetta @AliJMitchHT Our #StrathEdTESOL students do just that. They run their own Teach Arabic projects in third year then promote Arabic in secondary schools across Glasgow in fourth year.

It's been a busy afternoon for Y3 #StrathEdTESOL and Y4 BSc STEM
We're impressed by the students' commitment to becoming effective teachers
We are excited to be sending our 4th year #StrathEdTESOL students out to Glasgow secondary schools in a few weeks. It was great to hear how schools had organised these placements for the benefit of EAL learners AND our Arabic speaking students last year.
We're back!
We've got eight students still to arrive but it was great to meet up with our #StrathEdTESOL this morning.

And so it begins. #StrathEdTESOL have started registration and are in the process of organising visas, flights and accommodation to be back in Glasgow for the new academic year.
In the meantime, our most recent graduates have all been offered jobs back in #Oman. We're very proud!
