PRESIDENT TINUBU DIRECTS COMPREHENSIVE FOOTBALL REFORM
President Bola Tinubu has directed a comprehensive reform of Nigerian football to overcome repeated failures to qualify for major regional, continental and world tournaments.
“The reform must respond to a longstanding need to strengthen governance, administration, stakeholder representation, development pathways, domestic competitions and accountability across Nigerian football,” he said.
The President noted that while other sports had recorded meaningful progress since the reset of the sports sector under the re-established National Sports Commission, football has continued to struggle because of structural weaknesses within the system.
“Football, Nigeria’s most popular sport and the greatest beneficiary of public support, investment and national attention, has continued to struggle basically due to structural deficits within the system,” Tinubu said.
He stressed that Nigerian football must begin to match the country’s exceptional talent, passion and resources with stronger institutions and sustained performance.
President Tinubu directed the Chairman of the National Sports Commission to work with the NFF Secretariat and relevant football stakeholders to ensure continuity in essential football administration and facilitate a broad, consultative reform process.
The process will include appropriate engagement with FIFA and CAF while safeguarding Nigeria’s obligations within the international football framework.
The President called on football stakeholders and Nigerians to support the transition and work together to build a stronger, more accountable and successful football system.

Good evening Mr Keyamo. #SubsidyWillBeBack

This the the printed verdict of a boss on his subordinate: “What I did not know, which came glaringly later, was……his propensity to corruption, his tendency to disloyalty, his inability to say and stick to the truth all the time, a propensity for poor judgement, his belief and reliance on marabouts, his lack of transparency, his trust in money to buy his way out of all issues and his readiness to sacrifice morality, integrity, propriety, truth, and national interest for self and selfish interest.” Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on Atiku Abubakar in his book, “MY WATCH”.
The gospel of a better life under Atiku/Amaechi administration must get to every corner of our country ...

If removing subsidy means we pay more for everything while Tinubu & his governors celebrates “gains,” then bring it back. A policy that makes the executive live lavishly but destroys the our purchasing power is not reform, it is punishment to say the least. #Subsidywillbeback
leadership is not just about saving money on paper. It is also about making sure ordinary Nigerians can afford to live, work and provide for their families.
If a policy is hurting the people, we must be willing to rethink it. Nigerians deserve relief. 🇳🇬
