The PROVE token is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, serving three key functions in the Succinct Prover Network:
1. It acts as a payment token for requesters to pay provers.
2. It secures the network through staking and governance.
3. It incentivizes provers to offer competitive pricing.
With an initial supply of 1 billion tokens, new emissions are controlled by the network's governance.

Here are the basic parts:
1๏ธโฃ Those who want proofs make requests for proofs to be produced.
2๏ธโฃ "Provers" with powerful computers take these requests and create zero-knowledge proofs. These proofs allow proving that something is true without revealing its content.
3๏ธโฃ Provers compete in "proof competitions" to get the job done in the cheapest and fastest way.
4๏ธโฃ A main "protocol" that coordinates this entire network and finalizes the results of the competitions runs on Ethereum.
5๏ธโฃ An important part of the network is a special "virtual machine" called SP1. This machine can run simple computer codes (RISC-V bytecode) and produce zero-knowledge proofs that they work correctly.
So, these pieces come together to create a system where anyone can easily and affordably use zero-knowledge proofs! Isnโt that great? โจ
